Fire Department

The City of Clifton's Fire Department consists of fifteen (15) volunteers who have two (2) pumper trucks and fire protection equipment at their service. Their efforts have given the City of Clifton an ISO Rating of seven (7). Chief Randy Burns has been with the Fire Department for several years and is constantly challenging our firefighters to better themselves through monthly training. Clifton's Fire Department cooperates with the Eagle Creek Volunteer Fire Department through an automatic response agreement; meaning that whenever a fire call is received, both departments automatically respond. We beleive this insures the best fire and hazard mitigation coverage possible for our citizens and visitors.
For a burn authorization form, please visit City Hall at 142 Main Street.
In addition to covering the city, contracts are also available for people living within six miles of the city limits. Information on the terms and cost of a fire protection contract is available by contacting Clifton City Hall at (931) 676-3370.
