Download them, complete them, and bring them to City Hall. ### Application for Employment The City of Clifton is not accepting applications at this time. However, we will keep your application on file for future consideration. The City reserves the right to reject all applications. For more information, contact Clifton City Hall at 931-676-3370. Tennessee state law requires all businesses located within the city limits that gross more than $3,000 annually in income to obtain a business license from the city and the county. The city Business License application is linked below. Please download the PDF version of the Business Permit application, fill it out, and bring it to the City Hall of Clifton. The City Commission is the Beer Board, and Beer Permit Applications are considered during regularly scheduled city council meetings. These burn permits are issued by the [State of Tennessee Agriculture Department](https://agriculture.tn.gov/OnlineBurnPermitPublic/ "Click to visit the State website to request a Burn Permit."). ### Liquor-by-the-Drink License Liquor-by-the-drink Licenses are issued by the Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission (ABC). The City of Clifton must receive a copy of the state liquor license application, and an annual fee paid to the City will be determined based on seating capacity.
